Tech Suit Care Guide
R-SKIN & VEL-SKIN TECH SUIT CARE & WEAR GUIDE
Your Taupoc suit is a high-performance competition suit. Following these guidelines will protect its compression, fabric integrity, and World Aquatics approval performance over a full season.
PUTTING ON YOUR SUIT
- Tech suits are designed to be very tight β this is normal and intentional
- Use a plastic bag over your foot to help slide the suit up without pulling on the fabric
- Do not pull hard on the suit material itself β grip the seams or edges only
- Do not use fingernails or sharp jewelry when putting on the suit
- Allow 5β15 minutes for your first fitting β it gets easier with practice
- Skin should be clean and dry β free of lotions, sunscreen, or oils which degrade the fabric
BEFORE WEARING
- Do not apply sunscreen, body lotion, deodorant, or any skin product before putting on the suit
- These products break down the fabric coating and void the performance warranty
- Rinse the suit briefly in cold fresh water before first use
DURING COMPETITION
- Taupoc suits are designed for competition use β not extended training sessions
- Avoid sitting on rough surfaces (pool decks, bleachers) in your suit
- Do not wear under a training suit or other garment
AFTER EACH USE
- Rinse immediately in cold, clean fresh water after every use
- Remove chlorine and salt residue thoroughly β do not leave the suit wet and folded
- Lay flat to dry in the shade β do not hang, wring, or twist
- Never put in a washing machine or dryer
- Do not dry in direct sunlight β UV exposure degrades the fabric coating
STORAGE
- Store flat and dry, away from direct sunlight
- Do not fold tightly or leave compressed for extended periods
- Keep away from rough surfaces and sharp objects
